Caustics
Lumen & Logic
Pool-floor light caustics from first-principles optics: a sum-of-sines water surface refracts a dense grid of vertical rays by Snell's law (η = 1/1.33); each ray is traced to the floor and accumulated into a density buffer. Where the curved surface focuses light the density spikes into the singular bright filaments of the caustic web, tone-mapped through the palette.
