Comb Weave
Lumen & Logic
A mid-century op-art paper relief: a dark navy panel on a cream mat, filled with thin cream strips that each run straight, bend once at 90°, and run on. The strips nest into combs of parallel L-shapes whose corners march along crisp 45° staircases, concatenating into one meandering spine from the top edge to the bottom, with combs opening left and right of it in alternation. Long runs bleed through neighbouring combs so horizontal and vertical strips cross into dense woven grid patches, each crossing showing a thin navy gap where one paper strip passes over another, and a faint relief shadow sits under every strip so the surface reads as layered cut paper.
