A heap of overlapping paper discs, each one packed edge-to-edge with a different hand-drawn ink pattern. Discs are chain-packed outward from a first stone so the heap grows as one connected mass with no islands, and painted strictly back to front — every disc is opaque, so a new one crops its neighbours into crescents, lenses and slivers, and depth is occlusion alone with no shadow and no transparency anywhere. Each disc clips to its own hand-wobbled circle and is filled in its own local frame from a library of twelve tangle motifs: bold diagonal stripes with pencil-shaded bubbles, a checkerboard bulged over a sphere, cobbled pebbles, combed flow lines that bundle and relax, packed ring targets stippled in their gaps, coiled spiral rosettes ringed with ticks, an irregular web of facets each hatched at its own angle, meandering double-line ribbon loops, hatched arc scales in curving rows, ninety-degree basket weave, nested crescent bands about a centre outside the disc, and nested contours inside one organic blob. Ink and bare paper carry the drawing; colour is an accent, drawn per disc from a slow spatial hue field so pinks, greens and chartreuse cluster into zones rather than speckling, and a soft graphite hatch shades one side of a few forms. Every line is walked as short tremulous segments so the whole sheet reads as pen on paper. The heap lays out as a bloom, a column, a diagonal drift or a loose scatter, on bare paper with a clear margin.
