A dense grid of squares, each split diagonally into two triangles. Colors are drawn from a value-noise field so similar hues cluster into large coherent zones, while the per-cell diagonal direction — noise-driven, random, or checkerboard — creates a faceted, quilt-like surface. Palette defaults to bold reds against cool blue-grey.
