Il Cubo
Lumen & Logic
After Edward Zajec's Il Cubo (1971): a field of isometric cubes on an oblique unit grid. Each occupied cell carries a stack of coherently-lit cubes (top, left, right faces); world-adjacent cubes share whole face edges and fuse into continuous beams, walls and staircases. Empty cells leave the slate background and a few resolve to flat lozenges, giving the interlocking, maze-like block structure of the original.
