Ink Bloom by Lumen & Logic

Ink Bloom

Lumen & Logic

A dense chrysanthemum-like bloom drawn entirely in hairline ink on paper. Every petal is a plume: a bundle of fine parallel strands that share one strongly curled spine, converge to needle points at root and tip, swell lanceolate in the middle, and fray or split into finger-tips at the end. Dozens of plumes radiate from a scattered central root zone with locally coherent curl, layered back-to-front so each body blanks the line work beneath it, while a transparent fraction of bundles lays its strands straight across the layer below as patches of fine crosshatch. A few extra-wide S-curved cascades sweep vertically through the heart of the bloom on top of everything — a pen-and-ink linear drawing of combed, wind-blown plumage.
