A deep saturated ground combed edge to edge with hairline strands, where every strand in the picture is the image of one straight line under a single shared map of the plane. That map is a composition of the closed-form marbling tools — a base wave, radial ink drops that push the stock apart into nested lenses, decaying vortices that rotate it into whorls, and comb tines, some straight and some scalloped, that drag a band of it hard to one side until the family folds back on itself into nested hairpins. Because one smooth injective map moves every point, no two strands ever cross and neighbours stay locally parallel through every fold, so the sheet reads as one continuous deformation of a combed stock rather than as a crowd of independent strokes. The stock is laid out in bundles at a tight pitch separated by wide open channels, and colour is read from a strand’s index within its bundle rather than drawn per strand: each bundle sweeps a smooth arc of a hue ring, so a family runs blush to vermillion to orange while its neighbour runs lavender to cyan to lemon, broken only by the odd fully saturated accent flash and by strands that take a tone of the ground itself and read as a channel cut through. Every ink is tinted toward the value pole opposite the ground, so the picture carries on contrast alone. Flat matte hairlines, opaque, no fills.
