Patch Tangle

Lumen & Logic

A hand-drawn "zentangle" patchwork in warm marker colour on cream paper. The sheet is carved into irregular, flowing regions — a noise-warped Voronoi partition whose boundaries meander like a torn seam — and each patch is flooded with one solid colour drawn from a warm palette of marigold, rust, golden-yellow, mustard, olive and cream, then packed edge-to-edge with a single dark-ink doodle texture: fields of loose open swirls, region-centred concentric arcs, overlapping fish-scales, tight bubble packing, fine stipple, densely tessellated outlined triangles, teardrop petals in offset rows, straight hatch lines or solid seed drops. Tessellating textures are laid on a shared absolute grid so they tile seamlessly across a whole patch. A single region-ownership grid drives both the colour flood and each patch's ink clip, so every pattern lands exactly on its colour and never spills across a seam, and the patches tile the whole sheet with no bare paper showing. Every dark mark is ink-navy over its colour, so coloured patches abut cream ones and the sheet reads as an all-over quilt of felt-tip pattern cells.
