Sandpile
Lumen & Logic
The Abelian sandpile: N grains dropped on a grid topple — any cell with ≥ 4 grains gives one to each neighbour — until every cell holds 0–3. The stable state is independent of toppling order, and millions of grains on a single point self-organise into an exact fractal mandala of curved wedges and periodic lace, rendered as a crisp four-colour mosaic. Zero randomness: the same grain count always produces the identical figure.
