A scribbled ballpoint-pen portrait: dense overlapping pen tangles, placed by rejection sampling against a face-shaped tonal field, build near-black masses in the eye, nose and mouth shadows and thin out to bare paper across the highlights. Long horizontal streaks sweep across and shoot past the head while trailing strokes fall away below it, and a few flat vivid colour fields are painted behind the ink over the hairline and neck.
