Impact fracture. The canvas begins as one rectangle and is recursively split into convex cells, biased toward a focal impact point so cracks grow dense near the impact and large cells stay whole far away. Radial cuts aim through the focal point for a starburst of splinters, while axis-aligned cuts build rectilinear cells at the edges. Each crack is a single thin coloured line on a dark ground.
