A figure implied entirely by combed hair. Every mark in the piece is one primitive — a bundle of dozens of fine parallel strands sharing a single smooth spine, shaded across its width by a bright ridge set at a per-bundle offset so each reads as a rounded, lit cord, and streaked by a fixed per-strand groove jitter. The bundles are combed through a whorl field around a focus set off to one side of the head: tangential close in, so they wrap it in long shallow arcs, and swinging downward far out, so the mass pours off the corner as a heavy train. They are opaque and stack back to front, so depth is occlusion alone. The figure is never outlined — the innermost bundles are the silhouette curve offset inward and then extended into the flow, so the profile is drawn by where a bundle stops, with three or four pale hairlines for a nostril, a lip seam and an under-chin shadow. A silhouette family is chosen by seed: a profile head, a crested bird, a footed vessel, or none at all. Colour is two ramps split spatially — cool steel over the back and top, hot orange at the face and along the train, interleaving freely at the centre. Long pale flyaway strands escape the mass and taper off over bare ground, and beneath it all a flat neutral panel carries hand-ruled pin-ended drafting rectangles and clouds of ballpoint scribble.
