Torn Strips

A collage of tall, thin torn- and cut-paper strips packed into horizontal bands, reproduced from a reference image. Each strip is a ragged, softly tapered quadrilateral in a muted-with-punch palette of greys, olives and mustards accented by bright blue, orange, yellow and black. A share of the strips are cut with pinking shears into vertical zigzag ribbons, and many neutral strips carry a fine stipple texture. Deterministic from a seed.
